Delicately prepared to clog your arteries, increase your blood pressure and heighten your abdominal obesity.
I know. Sometimes I don't even like to invite myself to be my dinner companion. Being a Registered Dietitian and having worked with clients for more than a decade, I came to know a spectrum of people who suffer malnutrition in various shades and forms. Don’t get me wrong, I don't tell people what not to eat. Instead I often choose to bring good news- what nutritious foods to incorporate into daily meals in order to feed our body and soul. Foods and dining are such complicated arts of which we have to execute with much contemplation and admiration. Americans are becoming more and more health-conscious; and nutrition is the foundation of health. Our clients and consumers would only demand more, flavors and nutrition and all. Learning about nutrition and health is therefore not only limited to the health professionals. More importantly, our government, leaders of the food industries, restaurateurs and chefs should be the ones who know and practice good nutrition. After all, they are the ones who feed us.
